The page says Wikipedia wants to be "objective, reliable and consistent". It fails on all three accounts. If a page is not interesting to the people running Wikipedia, it is being deleted. Wikipedia is also subject to spin by political parties and others who see a gain by rewriting history.

I'm glad SL is not beset by self-important and self-righteous deletionists as Wikipedia is. I also value the open discussions on SL.

For what it's worth, I think SL succeeds much more at what SL wants to do than Wikipedia succeeds at what Wikipedia wants to do.
