Just for the record, my reason for objection: the novel is a high literary work by the Nobel laureate, not a go book. The Japanese original contains no diagrams, except for one showing all moves at the end of the book. Mentioning a go book here gives a strange impression; it is like mentioning an Osprey military book in an article about one of Shakespeare's historical plays just because they share a subject. Go materials, by any author, are better delegated to other pages. Listing on Shusai's page is sufficient for go books, articles or videos on his retirement game.
Thanks for explaining your motivation. But I agree with kmr?: most users of this site are interested in go books, and it makes sense to mention John Fairbairn's book on this page. It's like having a wiki site devoted to military history and including a page about one of Shakespeare's historical plays: of course you would link to relevant books about the subject matter :-)
By the way, thank you for your many edits to this site. Please keep up the good work!
