It was proposed that this page be renamed to Game Steps, with the following reason:
although probably not the best choice, it doesn't seem that important; Phases is more useful in a more specific context (beginning, middle, end...)
I don't know about this. What do the other people think?
P.S. I personally prefer Phases of a Game or Stages of a Game.
Bill: I have never heard anyone talk about game steps. I have heard them talk about phases of the game in reference to the opening, middle game, and end game.
For a terminology page, I would prefer the singular, phase, in keeping with dictionary usage.
If you want to change this page's name, I would support changing it to "Stages." Still, I don't really think that this page needs renaming.
