It is the homepage of the software, yes.
If I remember correctly, Ashley even asked if it was ok to put here.
My motto is: as long as it is related to Go and does not put an unduly burden on SL's resources (authors, readers, server, bandwidth,) everything is welcome here.
Arno -- thank you for this explanation. I had not realized that SL was as welcoming to people providing material that might be classed as "promotional" -- Wikipedia is much more restrictive about this. [Harry_Fearnley]

yes, we are not as strict as Wikipedia. I see this wiki as a gathering place for the Go community, sitting around the fireplace exchanging ideas and having a good time. I think it serves the community's interest to read about programs as well.
