Yokozeki Iho

Yokozeki Iho (横関伊保, 1762? -?) was the first woman with a professional dan rank in Japan. She studied Go from 1774, aged 13, and became 1 dan in 1778. It is known that she was 17 (oriental reckoning) in 1778. Date of her death is unknown.
