Yeongjae
Korean tournament for young players, created in 2013.
The first edition, in January 2013, was not a true tournament. Three young Korean professionals (Byun Sangil, Shin Jinseo and Shin Minjun) played against a top 9 dan, winning two of the three games. Before that, there was a mini-tournament and Shin Jinseo beat Byun Sangil and Shin Minjun to win first place; second place went to Shin Minjun.
The second edition was an official tournament. Eight professionals competed (one hour per player) for a first prize of ₩7,000,000. The finalists, in January 2014, were Shin Jinseo 2p (aged 13) and Shin Minjun 1p (14). Shin Jinseo won the final match 2-0.
