Xuanxuan Qijing Problem 20 / Attempts2

Black to play.

I've gotten this far. Not quite sure what White's best next move is.

unkx80: Someone erased this diagram and replaced it with the one below at [1]. I have restored it: the new diagram and its discussion is moved below to [1].

White to play

This doesn't look too bad...

unkx80: White 1 at a works the same way. =)

Black is captured

If Black tries to escape with 2, White can capture.

White to play

And if Black doesn't force White somehow, White 3 captures the stones.

Black to play

Perhaps we should step back to here. The problem with Black playing anywhere besides the marked spot is that White will play there which is very big for her.

I'm stumped. I've tried other variations, but this one still seems the most promising. If you know the answer, please don't post it here, but perhaps show the first two moves of it.

[1] The new diagram.

Black to play.

The diagram that replaced the original in the very first diagram.

Black to play.

Anyway, to answer this one, White simply plays atari at 1 and blocks at 3. White wins the capturing race.
