Women's World Amateur Go Championship

(相鉄杯世界女流アマチュア囲碁選手権戦) This was an yearly (later biyearly) event created by the Nihon Kiin in 1989 for promotion of the game amongst women. Main organizer was the International Go Federation from the second edition. Discontinued after the 7th edition. Below are the winners by year, with additional reports.
