Steve Bretherick is an AGA 4K who translates Japanese go books as a hobby and finds the language discussions on SL fascinating. (Probably avoiding putting the effort into studying the go content :))

I seem to be stronger at turn-based go (2K on little golem) - it covers up my two main weaknesses over-the-board, slow play and poor reading. I wonder if others have had that experience or is it just me?

SnotNose: Yup. Turn-based play can be an equalizer of tactical skill because one can have (effectively) infinite time to plan sequences.
