White's one space jump past the black stone is not a basic technique since Black can play at a, making a shape that could be called a split jump or ripped jump, which is generally considered to be a good shape for Black (see for example four basic shapes).

Hence is usually played only given sufficient support and with a specific aim.

The term splitable jump or rippable jump is not generally used either. This page may be renamed given sufficient support for an alternative name.
