Sim is extremely underranked. According to Go Ratings, he's in the Korean top thirty and #80 in the world. AFAIK he know, he's the world's strongest 5p.

In 2022, he scored an upset victory over Byun Sangil in the 5th Ryongsang.

He currently (August) has the second best 2022 winning rate of any Korean professional, 85.7% (18-3). That said, he does have the least games played of any of the top ten in this category (21), apart from Yoon Junsang, who has the same number.
