To be brief (for the moment) :

I'm a complete novice and have only ever played on the net (MSN as eurojohns316) so I may turn into a pest with questions :(

I'm 45 years old and I have been many things (mostly quite boring things) in my time. Ive always loved games, but mostly very lowbrow things like risk/diplomacy/monopoly etc. I've recently stopped playing AOK/AOC and found Go almost by accident. I really like the fact that it is a game with great subtlety and that it has so much scope for analysis and study. I never really liked chess for some reason.

I also love this open edit idea. It is a very beautiful concept. hello
