Paek Nam-kyu

(1884-1970) Top Korean player of the early 20th century. He played Karigane Jun'ichi in 1899, where he fell to a four stone handicap under Japanese rules and a two stone handicap while playing sunjang baduk ( http://www.gogod.co.uk/NewInGo/Karigane.htm). He then played Saito Kentoku in 1918.
