In CGT, the outcome class of an abstract game G indicates who wins G under optimal play given who starts; the four basic possibilities are “G=0”, “G∥0”, “G>0”, “<0” corresponding to a win for the second player, the first player, Left and Right respectively. These may also be combined in ways such as “G⩽0” (Right can win when playing second) and “G⧐0” (Left can win when playing first).
