About Me

I am an 18 year old college student from New York.

I picked up Go here from a suitemate (though I had heard of it before and was interested to try)

I play as Origin4152 (11k) on KGS, and also periodically run a bot OriginBot?, and ran the infamous loserbot before it had its rank banned :]. loserbot is now used to rengo from time to time.

Technically, I own the account Origin on IGS, but I don't ever play on it so...

My Play Style

I tend to be pretty proud of my skill at life and death, probably from excessive boredom and goproblems.com I also like to break out crazy tesuji from time to time, most of which end up failing because of that one liberty I didn't see. Oh well.

I used to keep it simple and open sarensei style, but now I typically spice it up, with 5-3s and 5-4s after reading Opening Theory Made Easy, focusing on center influence

I go into every game entirely overconfident, and recently have been losing despite (or because of) this. My attack and defense style is still in the works, I find that I either am strong but small, or large but full of cutting points and the such, cant quite get the balance right.

I am an avid ko fighter, and can't really feel complete with a game unless there is a gigantic climatic ko fight over 1 point.
