I am a Chinese currently living in the UK. People, particular in the Go community, also know me as Mace. 'macelee' is my favorite ID on major Go servers. I received semi-professional training in China as a kid. I have spent 5 years in the US for degree study when I had an AGA rank of 6d. I don't have an European rank yet. I always want to play more serious games but never seem to have time to do so. I achieved my best tournament score in the 30th London Open (2003), finishing 5th place in the open section. In normal life, I have a PhD in Mechanical Engineering and I am doing research works in university. But sometimes I label myself as an Aeronautics scientist to scare people.

I am the owner of the Internet Go web site Go4Go.net. This site has become one of most popular sources of English Go news and professional games since its official launch in November 2002.
