This problem is stated "White to move"; see Gokyo Shumyo, Section 1, Problem 10 for the same starting position but "Black to move". In my opinion, "White to move" is most likely a transcription or typographical error, because there are many solutions.

tchan001 Notice the name of the problem implies that you should be able to kill with the third move as is the solution in the book.

Notice that Gokyo Shumyo was published circa 1812 while Xian Ji Wu Ku was published circa 1629.
