Gote eye killer  

AdamMarquis: The first thing I notice is that White can destroy the eye on the left, in gote. at . at the marked white stone. If White did this, Black would simply play in the bulky five on the right (a) to make two eyes.

Trying for sente  

AdamMarquis: seems to bow before . Now White must stop a second eye in two places, but both are gote (a and b).

Dead?  

AdamMarquis: How about this ? Black must play , or get no eyes on this side. is also forced, to stop Black from getting two (three even) eyes here. After , Black is in a rough place: all he can do is make an eye in gote on one side or the other with a or b. Unless I missed something, which is very possible ^_^, Black can't live after .
