RandomStranger?: I've posted some incorrect variations before concluding with the solution at the bottom.

Playing two-in-a-row (the circled stones) fails:

black is left with a chance to survive depending on a ko  
Taking the three stones is in most cases even worse, because now black gets to start the ko (meaning black needs to use one fewer threat)  

Playing below and to the right of the 2,2 stone leads to an even worse failure:

Black lives unconditionally  

Plying below and to the left of the 2,2 stone does the trick however:

After black captures white at the 1,1 point white prevents the creation of a 2nd eye by throwing in at the 2,2 point (e.g., nakade). Black dies unconditionally.
