Kokugi Kanko

    Keywords: Books & Publications

Kokugi Kanko (国技観光) is a book written by Honinbo Jowa in 1826. Includes 40 suggested openings and 74 of his games without comments.

Note that "Kokugi" here does not mean "national sport/game"; it means "Japanese way of playing Go", as opposed to the Chinese way.

There is a digitized version of all four volumes at the Waseda University [ext] http://www.wul.waseda.ac.jp/kotenseki/html/wo09/wo09_03801/index.html.

[ext] 1906 one volume edition with modern typesetting is available at the Japanese National Diet Library.
