Gernotti

Gernotti got to know Go back in high school where in the chess club a few cheesy plastic boards also were sitting around in a lonely cupboard. Nevertheless, they stayed there.
He finally started playing occasionally in boring moments during his PhD-thesis, after figuring out that the best free game available for the Macintosh is Go. That, and of course the famous Hikaru no Go, which totally hooked him.
He now plays occasionally on KGS, with a rating which is too embarrassing to be mentioned here.
Outside the Go-world, he is a laser-physicist struggling with trace-gas detection in the far north of Germany.
