Gernotti

Gernotti got to know Go back in high school where in the chess club a few cheesy plastic boards also were sitting around in a lonely cupboard. Nevertheless, they stayed there.

He finally started playing occasionally in boring moments during his PhD-thesis, after figuring out that the best free game available for the Macintosh is [ext] Go. That, and of course the famous Hikaru no Go, which totally hooked him.

He now plays occasionally on KGS, with a rating which is too embarrassing to be mentioned here.

Outside the Go-world, he is a laser-physicist struggling with trace-gas detection in the far north of Germany.
