Just for the record, I reached low kyu level (5 or 6, can't recall now) in well under a year, but gave up playing before getting any further (decided it was just too much of a drain on time and energy in my circumstances.

To my surprise, my KGS account intuition reached 9 kyu today, after exactly 63 days of playing. While I find it difficult to believe I have got to this level, I now feel more humble about the quality of my play than when I had just started.

Next target: 1 dan in 2008. :-)

My KGS account called intuition had a good run and reached 10 kyu today, 56 days after I started playing go. Getting the extra kyu to reach the arbitrary target above is still going to be a challenge.

I reached 14 kyu on KGS within 3 weeks (where I am nfaifa, and now intuition for fast games), but expect further progress to be considerably slower. I would like to get to single digit kyu level as soon as possible (early 2008, perhaps),
