DoubleBoardGo

    Keywords: Variant

Double Board Go is played on two boards of different sizes simultaneously.

The board are connected on tengen, and each move consists of putting two stones, one stone on each board on the corresponding point. If one board does not have a corresponding point, the stone will be discarded (returned in the bowl for area counting, or given to the opponent as prisoner otherwise).

For instance, playing on connected 9x9 and 13x13 boards, playing on the first or second line of the 13x13 board, no stone will be placed on the 9x9 board.

After placing the stone(s), the normal rules apply on each board separate.

  • Suicide is possible.
  • Playing a specified point is possible only when both points are not occupied yet (or do not exist).
  • After finishing the game, each board will count as a separate game.
