The corner position with 5 stones in place was what I had in mind when I created the problem. I was secretly hoping for a silly board shape solution. Wow :-)

tapir: Imo, Bill's construction is the only one where the moves actually make sense, as in, not only you make the required moves, but they are best play and the solution to a tiny endgame problem.
