Commented Games by Lee Sedol Vol. 1-3
By: Lee Sedol, Lee Sena
Translator: Daniela Trinks
Publisher: Baduktopia

Commented games by Lee Sedol is a series of three volumes original published in Korean. English versions of vols. 1 & 2 have been published as of Aug. 2013, and third is expected in 2014. It is authored by Lee Sedol and Lee Sena, first published by Baduktopia in 2010, and translated by Daniela Trinks, upon which it was released to the Western go world in 2012.

In the first volume, Lee Sedol has chosen three games that had a special significance in his career and discusses them for about a hundred pages each. The print is large and some diagrams are repeated, but still the analysis goes down to the level of an amateur strong enough to understand how a game is played on a 19x19. No specific knowledge is required beyond life and death. If joseki come about they are explained in detail.

The analysis is interluded with stories by his sister Lee Sena. She relates of the development of her brother as a go player and human being, very often referring to their father, a 5d amateur who has been his teacher until he died from lung cancer.
