Chen Zixian

Chen Zixian was a one of the strongest Chinese players of the late Qing Dynasty. He was born in Haining.

Chen's father was also infatuated with go and as a result did a poor job making a living. In his later life, Chen's father became homeless and had to live in a rundown temple; yet he indulged in go until the day he died. However, Chen became rich & famous and brought honor to his father due to the popularity of go during the Qing Dynasty.
