Chen Dai

Important pre-professional Chinese amateur, 4d in 1964. He was born a few years before Go Seigen.

Chen was the teacher of at least eight of China's early professionals, who all qualified in the initial mass promotion of 1982, on the establishment of the system. In order of rank and then seniority, these are:
