Beginner Exercise 248 / Solution

White can capture four stones - but remains dead.  

But despite capturing it is still unconditionally dead and Black can play tenuki. The stones are nakade (they form a pyramid four) and ensure that the white group can't make two eyes.

Black failure - Don't do this!  

Black takes the bait and captures two White stone, but lets most of the white stones escape.
