Jesse: Perhaps I'm missing something, but it seems to me that black can live in the corner if white plays that way.

ChrisSchack: I think you're right, this cuts but lives anyway. Try playing W1 at W3, if B makes the same shape W will be to move and can kill (since W1 is unplayed).

Jimmy: I think 6 should put "here". Then the corner is larger.

Jimmy: The other way, black's corner certainly dies.

Muad'dib: What about B2 at W3?

MrTenuki: If B2 is played at W3, W3 would be played at B2 and the corner still dies.
