Batoo is a go variant, named after baduk + juntoo, which means "battle" in Korean. It was a failed attempt to turn Baduk into a videogame to appeal to younger demographic. It was exclusively played online on now defunct servers.
Batoo is played on a 11x11 board and features plus-point and minus-point locations, three stones each played simultaneously before the proper game starts, komi bidding for the first move and a hidden stone (and "scans" for the hidden stone). Mainly because of the hidden stone Batoo was limited to online play and would require a referee / third party present throughout the game for over the board play.
