Baek Yeo-jeong
Baek Yeo-jeong or Yeo-jung (Hangul: 백여정) is a Korean female professional 1 dan.
She was born on 6 March 2007 in Anseong, Gyeonggi-do, Korea. She is the youngest of three children of Baek Kyung-hyun and Kim Eun-ha. She has an older brother and sister.
Her Baduk instructors were Han Jong-jin, Cho Han-seung, Han Sang-hoon 9p; Kim Se-dong 8p, and Kim Min-ho 5p. The player she most admires is Choi Jeong 9p.
As an amateur in 2023, Baek almost single-handedly won 17th Jiji Auction Cup Amateur Championship, a 7-per-side win-and-continue event between a “Promising Girls’ Team” vs a “Promising Boys’ Team”. Her 5-game winning streak eliminated the remaining boys and contributed most of the Girls’ Team’s winning score of 7–4.
That year, she also won the Chunhyang Cup.
Lee became a professional by passing the 61st Women’s Entrance Exam in January 2024, aged 16, along with the two sisters Lee Jung-eun (16) and Lee Na-hyun (14).

- 19th GC Auction Cup: she scored well enough among the 57 female players in the preliminaries to earn one of the 8 reserved places for the female team.
Many higher ranked female players were eliminated. But she lost her only game in the second round to the legendary Lee Changho (B–R).
