LionO played zero games, so he hasn't shown that he earned any points or spots on the ladder. Basically, he put himself up on the ladder, then ran away for a week or so. (ask few of people on UVGC, they will confirm.)
Also...Whose idea is to put up the statistics, anyway? -Flame
Is that we do not give any points to anyone on the ladder weekly.
But rather, we give points monthly. That way, nobody can sit around, earn those points just by sitting at top, defending against a player.
In fact...I think should do away with points system, but rather, keep track of how many games are played at top tier, because I believe that more games you play on ladder, more value there is to what you're doing.
Besides, the points make no sense, especially when the ladder is starting to take off.
Inconsequential statistics are more interesting, like winning streaks, how many games played. I don't think the whole affair should be turned into points affair. What I want to do is to encourage more fighting for right to the spot. In my opinion, if you sit at a spot at the top or middle or whatever...play games to show that you earn the spot. After all, why are you on ladder if you're not going to play?
If there is no objections, I'm going to remove points section in few days.
