82.17.70.226: "Stone cursor" not the same as the "arrow cursor" --> multiple problems (2017-07-27 11:21) [#10984]

(My use of) WGo seems to have a very serious problem: when the (arrow) cursor is hovering over the board, the point that will be selected when you click is shown elsewhere as a stone (black or white, as appropriate) the "stone cursor". The stone cursor may be far distant from the arrow cursor.

Unfortunately, if the stone cursor is far above (say) the arrow cursor, then you can _never_ select a point on the lower edge of the board, because the arrow cursor is no longer over the board!

What am I doing wrong?
