Pledger made the following annotation:
[1] To behave exactly as Ikeda's Rule does, it would also be necessary that the first pass does not count as one of the two alternation-ending passes. - Pledger
It is my understanding that when Equivalence Scoring is used then there are no two-alternation-ending passes but rather either 'two' or 'three' alternation ending passes. (due to them requiring that white passes last)
