MXMLLN: SGF file for Teaching Go (2013-04-06 19:02) [#9606]

Looking for an SGF file demonstrating Go rules. Seemed like someone would have created one, but I have been unable to find it.

There are a number of good resources on the web, but I don't know of any SGF tutors.

KGS has a decent tutorial: [ext] http://www.gokgs.com/tutorial/index.jsp However, the "AI" that you play against simply plays random moves, so it's not much help as a tutor.

www.goproblems.org is good for people seeking to improve, but probably isn't good for total beginners.

The British Go Association website has a number of learner resources: [ext] http://britgo.org/intro/intro2.html

including a "capture go" java applet [ext] http://britgo.org/junior/capturego

Hope this helps. C

I don't know of any SGF file either, but I am particularly fond of [ext] The Interactive Way To Go. Not exactly teaching material, but whenever I gave an introduction (not that often) at least one participant had found the page already.
