84.56.25.46: Software Problem Reports (2005-12-15 18:32) [#761]

I can't find a place here for SPRs. Should error reports go in the wish list (as a wish to have them repaired)?

The error I wanted to report is that kgsGtp (when used with GnuGo) sometimes hangs when the opponent escapes. The opponent's clock runs down to SD (Sudden Death), then the game hangs indefinitely.

I have observed this twice and am not sure under which circumstances it happens. It may be a good idea to add a simple test to kgsGtp, checking for this situation, if the cause cannot be determined.
