After a quick look at this page I was wondering why the reading Ding'an is given here - the standard reading for 襄夏 is Xiang1xia4?.
No content
JohnF: Xangxia is his style (a sort of courtesy name). Fan Xiping had the style Shixun. Some players have several styles. Whoever added the characters here added the wrong ones for Shi Dingan (the apostrophe is not necessary here as there is no word 'din').
Thanks JohnF. Very helpful!
I checked further: the first line of the entry in baidu gives some information about the names, but I'm not sure I completely understand it.
名绍闇,字襄夏,号定庵,...
What I get from that is something like this:
His name (名) was 绍闇 Shàoàn, his style (字) was 襄夏 Xiāngxià and he was also called (号) 定庵 Dìngān.
Maybe I'll update the page at some point with this info.
