Is the diagram correct? White can do nothing. If the marked stone is added, an interesting temporary seki is possible. Black dies by seki-callapse.

In John Fairbairn's Gateway to all Marvels, this is listed under the name "Side Screen", and the following two versions are shown:

This one is mentioned as appearing in three XXQJ editions, slightly different each time.

This one appears only in Go Seigen's edition

Thank you for reply. XXQJ has a long history, spanning centuries even before copyrights and it's difficult to track modifications. The first diagram "Black to play and live" is the best construction, I think.
