This helps me and might be of benefit for others, it is based on the info available at Tsumego Hero:

A. The favorite is the group with more liberties than the opposing group, the underdog.  B. In an unsettled case, whoever has sente gains a superior count and thus accomplishes its corresponding objective.

1a. No eye vs no eye, <2 inside liberties 2. Eye versus no eye (group w/eye counts all liberties, group wo/eye outside liberties) 3a. Same sized big eyes without inside liberties  4. Bigger eye vs smaller eye (only bigger eye counts the inside liberties)

superior count: kills equal count: unsettled no seki possible  

1b. No eye vs no eye, =>2 inside liberties 3b. Same sized big eyes with inside liberties 5. Small eye vs small aye

favorite count: (1b) outside liberties + 1, (3b & 5) exclusive liberties, superior: kills underdog count: all liberties, superior: seki equal count: unsettled  no favorite/underdog (equal amount of outside and inside liberties): seki
