Hi, my name is Amelia. Nice to meet you!

Honestly, I expected this username to be already taken. It's just Amelia and all. I got a bit worried that I might get banned or something?

Anyway, I am Korean, and I am fluent in Japanese. I can also speak a little bit of Chinese. Forgive me if I adhere to the term Baduk over Go in this page... :) I am happy to provide the wiki with Korean terms and news and whatnot.

I love watching Baduk videos. Put a random live game on and make myself some Saturday lunch while commentators' voices ebb and flow over the board every so often like a summer breeze. Great ambient noise, should you say, for work or study as well.

I've tried playing the game myself, but I found out I really don't like competing against someone else. Every time my opponent makes a threatening move, I get nervous. And even more, I don't like losing. Ha! Who wouldn't? I considered taking some lessons to really get to know and enjoy playing Baduk. Well... or a Baduk mate to motivate each other would really help. Unfortunately my friends have all moved onto Chess. :(

My other hobbies are cello, classical musics, and video games.

xela: Hi Amelia, nice to meet you too! Welcome to Sensei's Library :-) I'm not surprised the username was free: this site is older than Facebook, and from a time when a lot of people used pseudonyms instead of personal names. And the last few years it's been quiet: we haven't had a lot of new users, so we haven't used up all the names.

It'll be great to have more Korean news and translations here. Please go ahead and edit pages or create new pages for anything interesting. People here are pretty friendly, and it's easy to undo things if you make a mistake.

You and I have a little bit in common. Too many of my friends are more interested in chess than go. I also spend more time studying or reading about go than actually playing. In my case I don't mind losing -- those are often the games I learn the most from -- but I don't enjoy playing online that much, and we have a shortage of go clubs here in South Australia. And I'm also into classical music, but I play piano not cello. I had to stop video games because I get addicted too easily.
