Zug um Zug: Die Zauberwelt der Brettspiele by Heinz Machatschek was published 1972 by Verlag Neues Leben in Berlin (German Democratic Republic). It contains twenty pages (p. 96-116) about Go most of it written by Günther Möhring (International Master in chess, GDR Go champion in 1968).

This book was probably the first contact with Go for a lot of Go players from Eastern Germany. Besides some information about Go history, it notably doesn't talk about moves (Züge) but about hands (Hände).
