Ubigo
Ubigo is a Go variant where every edge point is considered connected to all other edge points.
bugcat: So that means that if you have one living group connected to the first line, you can play _anywhere_ on the first line and not be captured because that stone is connected to your living group? So any area with an open first line could be invaded with impunity? That seems to greatly depreciate the value of side territory, and you'd have to be very careful about living in the corner. It seems like the strategic metagame of Ubigo would stress the centre as no-one can hop in from the edge. On another note, if there's only one sentence in this article then I think it should be moved to GoVariants.
