This is not actually what White did. Taelia was smarter than this. makes all the difference.

Moves 216-217  

This is what Taelia actually did. At least I gained an extra 3 points with (I took away white territory, captured a white stone, and gained black territory). Unfortunately, I also lost Sente.

Alternate moves 213-214  

Here, I hardly would have gained anything with . The only slight advantage I have is that fills in White's territory.

MrTenuki: It seems to me that Black has more to gain by first playing a and then trying to reduce White's right side...
