Ryukyuan players

The famous international games during Japan in the Edo period were these:

• Pechin Hamahiga played Dosaku in 1682.
• Yara Satonushi played Dochi in 1710; then Aihara Kaseki.

There was a previous visitor from the Ryukyu islands in Japan in 1634, Tsuhako Genju, who played San'etsu.
