Rematch

A rematch is when two players (or two teams) play each other again in a return match. This does not have to take place in a tournament set-up. It can happen in a series of friendly games at a club.

Rematch may also be used as a tie breaker. Here it is more normally referred to as a play-off. As the name suggests, it is accomplished by having the tied players play more games amongst themselves.
