diagram 1: B dies

White 1 and 3 are tesuji. Black 2 in Diagram 1 is not the best answer. Black 4 left of 3 does not work either.

diagram 2 ...

Instead, B plays 2 Diagram 2...

variant 2a: B dies

..and still cannot live unconditionally...

[Diagram]
variant 2b: ko

... but gets either the ko here...

[Diagram]
diagram 3: best for both

...or this ko, which is probably the best way to play for both.

Pok

Black lives.

unkx80: I disagree with this solution. Black plays B6, and lives because a and b are miai.

Imagist: That sequence only lets black live because W7 is aji keshi.

tasuki: Umm, W7 doesn't seem like ajikeshi to me, in fact I can pretty much agree with unkx80.

Tderz: Food for discussion: look closer at the relation of the inter-acting white key points a, b and c. What is their right order?
