I am a Norwegian Go player born in Oslo (1985), first name Daniel.

I chose this nickname because I have a strong interest in learning languages (I am also interested in linguistics, computing, and music).

I developed an interest for "thinking games" when I discovered chess as a young boy, and more recently I have begun to take Go (Igo, Weiqi, Baduk) quite seriously. I have no real life rating, but I'm definitely in the weak kyu range. My goal is to become as strong as possible, with Norwegian 1 dan as a potential first major goal, although my highest priorities are to at least improve somewhat and last but not least to enjoy the game.

I have tried several Go servers, and so far my favourite is the Kiseido Go Server ( http://kgs.kiseido.com)

I am a friendly person and I will gladly play most people. I never allow undos in rated games, regardless of circumstances. If you're not sure you want to make the move, please don't make it in the first place. In free games I am likely to be somewhat more lenient.
