If it's worth only 15 points, play tenuki

This illustrates the natural tendency to save stones (in gote) even when it's not the best move. A number of typical endgame moves in the corner are worth about 7 points miai (14 points deiri), yet left until the endgame.

This advice obviously doesn't carry much weight in late endgame.
