Helmut Hasibeder

Helmut Hasibeder is an Austrian Go Player and Amateur 6-Dan. He won the European Youth Championship in 1975 and went on to become European Champion in 1978 (improving on second place the year before). At the 11th World Amateur Go Championship in Nagoya he was the best Non-Asian player, taking fifth place. He was Austrian Champion 11 times, reigning champion 1976-79 and 1983-89.
