Greg Lefler

Greg Lefler was a student and Go player at the Rochester Institute of Technology. He was a pivotal organizer in the Rochester Go community, revitalizing its Empty Sky Go Club. He and many other club members travelled to most go tournaments on the U.S. East Coast north of the Carolinas. He was a dedicated teacher and organizer, as evidenced by his directing the 2004 US Go Congress. His tragic death in August 2005 was a shock to the entire American Go community. His memory is maintained by the extensive group of friends he made during his too-short life. He will be missed, but not forgotten.
